Embroidery Christmas Lunch

Well the Christmas lunches have started, with Embroidery group enjoying a wonderful lunch at Jessica's home.  Our swap decoration this year was an embroidered boot.  As usual Barb decided to expand on the idea and design her own, of course the lovely white one.

This being my last meeting, it was lovely to have a nice lunch together.

Our swapped boots.

Christmas "S" Party 2011

This year's Christmas party was held at the Great Northern Hotel and a very fine venue it turned out to be!

It was cool and comfortable and the food was delicious.

Yummy!

Okay, not all the photos I took are flattering and some didn't come out at all, but should show that we had a whale of a time (oops should that be shark of a time, Beryl?)

The costumes were outstanding.

Clockwise from top left:
Statue of Liberty
Sqaure
Slayer
Santa's Little Helper.

Lto R top: Star Light Star Bright, Something!, Saint Birte.
L to R bottom: Scarecrow, Shabby Sheik, Sunbonnet Sue.

L to R top:  Mrs Santa, Sucker, Snow White.
L to R bottom: Scout Mistress, Scholar, Shrub.

L to R top: Sewaholic, Silly!
L to R bottom: Swami, Serving Lady.

We swapped gifts with a twist this year. Just when you thought you'd received something you really liked someone could disconcertingly nick it off you!

Jessica donated a beautiful calendar done by the four Calendar Girls, which was won by Lyndal.

Val very cleverly guessed the correct number of pieces of fabric in the bottle.

Then came the costume parade accompanied by some very funny descriptions.

Sadie the Cleaning Lady
St Frances

Click on the words St Francis or Sadie the Cleaning Lady under their photos and hopefully you'll see a video!

And the winner was ....................////////////////////////////(drum roll) ..... the Shark.
Merry Christmas everyone. See you on the second Wednesday in January 2012.
