Congratulations to Studio2 on the very successful opening of their new gallery. Selena and Donna are two of the founders who also belong to Fibres and Fabrics. Some of our other members have items on display and for sale in the gallery/studio. Well worth a visit.

Joy's Felting Workshop

Over three weekly workshops, Joy introduced us to her felting techniques. An enthusiastic number of members tried their hand at the art with some inspiring results. Thank you Joy!

Little baskets here in Townsville,

Little baskets made of twiggy twacky,

There's a green one and a red one

Nimbin sent us Margaret B for a couple of weeks and Townsville inspired her to make lots of little baskets which she'd learnt to do in Alice Springs at the Beanie Festival. It was lovely getting to know you better Margaret.

Wrapt in Rocky

The Fiberists who made the trip to Wrapt in Rocky were by all accounts wrapt with their experiences! Thank you for the photos Annette.

This is the detail on the cover which Margaret D made for Anne and Michael T's log book to take along on their sailing journey. The log book and a waterproof satchel in which to store it were presented to Anne last week (see previous post).  We all wish you the best adventures, lots of excitement and beautiful times. Val's been using the embellishing machine to great effect and has made some stunning pieces.
