Farewell morning tea for Anne
Today we held a lovely farewell morning tea for Anne, who is off in a couple of weeks with her husband Michael to sail around Australia. As a gift the group gave her a Sailing log, and watertight bag and socks. Joy sang a wonderful ditty for us, but we all joined in on the chorus.... we will miss you buddy......

Magnetic Island ladies visit - Show and Tell
Last Wednesday we had about 20 ladies visit us from Magnetic Island. We met them at the ferry terminal and ushered them back to the Belgian Gardens Scout Den, where we had a feast of food awaiting, and loads of friendship and chatting. Here is us all waiting patiently for the proceedings to start.
We had Faye from Magnetic Island do the honors for showing their work, and Barbara showed off ours. This photo shows some of the Magnetic Island ladies work.
We reluctantly drove the ladies back to the ferry terminal, after spending a wonderful day together, my first of many I hope.

Some Eye Candy!
On the right are the ATC's which were swapped at the last Bookies group meeting.
Above is Selena's concertina book (made before she became addicted to paper weaving or we know it would've been woven!)
And below early members, Sharyn and Gai, welcome founder member Dana to our Wednesday meeting.

Paper Weaving
Bookies group had lots of fun learning to weave two images together to form a new complex picture. Pictured below, Marion shared the skill, assisted by Barb.

Members of the group set about the task with enthusiasm and here are some of the results.
Thank you Marion and Barb. We all enjoyed ourselves very much.
